The Human Rights Commission (HRC) and King Abdulaziz University (KAU), represented by the Almobdioon Center for Studies, Consulting, and Training, have signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation to develop educational and training programs and enhance specialized research in the field of human rights within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement aims to align efforts in the areas of studies, consultancy, and training; support joint research initiatives; and build national human capital through high-quality training programs tailored to the needs of both parties.

It also includes provisions for collaboration in raising awareness of the HRC’s role among public and private sector entities and in developing academic programs focused on human rights, including diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, to improve academic outcomes and meet national priorities.

This partnership aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by fostering an integrated educational and research ecosystem that informs decision-makers, institutionalizes human rights work, and links it with academic and research institutions, ensuring sustainable professional development and establishing authoritative academic references in the field of human rights in the Kingdom.
